A private context is a dedicated area within Sidestnd, which works like a subsite that supports reverse proxy scenarios. It is also the mechanism by which higher traffic limits are offered.
It works like this:
https://<sidestnddomain>/works/{workid}
https://myorg.com/shared/metadata/works/{workid}
https://<sidestnddomain>/hft2gsf4ha6s/works/{workid}
https://myorg.com/shared/metadata/works/{workid}
to https://<sidestnddomain>/hft2gsf4ha6s/works/{workid}
For additional technical details on embedding Sidestnd using nginx, refer to the private context technical documentation.
There is no free lunch; embedding Sidestnd only works if the organisation that wants to do the embedding runs nginx or something similar. However, this is considerably less work than hosting Sidestnd. It is also more stable: the only change is (crucial) updates to nginx. If hosting Sidestnd is preferred then feel free to contact to discuss options.
Sidestnd Premium has higher file size limits and more generous traffic allowance. The maximum file size for Plus users is 10MB (whereas it is 1MB for free users). The traffic limits are set as follows:
Sidestnd Plus has a separate support channel. Any issues will take precedence over issues or questions reported by users with a free account.
